Camelon just outside of Falkirk is probably best known for its Mariner Leisure Centre. Popular with families from the town as well as further afield, the centre’s most famous feature is its lagoon-shaped pool, complete with beach area, wave machine and baby pool. There’s also a laned swimming area for those who wish to focus on their crawl, plus a sauna for warming up in afterwards. Swimming lessons are available, including parent and toddler sessions, which are an ideal way of introducing little ones to the water in a safe, supervised environment. Fitness fans can check into the Mariner Centre Gym which is crammed with cardio and resistance machines plus a good selection of free weights. A number of classes is held throughout the week including Boxercise and CX Worx, designed to increase strength while burning fat. Fitness Pass holders earn the right to book activities up to seven days in advance including the squash court, which is in high demand. Whether you’re looking to get into shape or simply hang out with friends, Camelon is where it’s at. There’s a lot going on at Mariner Leisure Centre.

We took our kids swimming here and really liked it.The pool area was warm and the water was reasonable too.The kids loved the 3 small slides and even the larger frog slide.The floats and wave machine were well received too.I'd say the pool is ideal for 1 to 8 year olds but may not hold the attention of older kids.
