What is The Peak? Only Stirling’s newest sports centre, an emporium of all things adventurous, namely a 25-metre pool, ice rink, climbing wall and fitness suite – plus a series of sports halls. Lots to do then. The pool runs inflatable fun sessions on weekends, when kids can try out the double commando aqua run, which is exceptionally fast and hella fun. During the week, open swimming sessions are available alongside lessons in the teaching pool. The Peak’s sports hall, meanwhile, is an impressive affair, its sprung-loaded wooden floor and digital scoreboards making it ideal for a range of indoor sports including basketball, netball, hockey, volleyball and badminton. There’s also table tennis, trampolining and even cricket to consider. At The Peak’s ice rink, skating isn’t the only sport that can be sampled – curling is also a staple, with six curling sheets available. If the sound of all that hasn’t exhausted you, spare some energy for the gym, where personal training is available alongside a plethora of fitness classes. While the traditional leisure centre pursuits of fitness, swimming and indoor sports are enough to sustain The Peak, one of its greatest successes to date has been its climbing wall. At 11 metres, it’ll challenge even the most experienced of climbers, while colour-graded routes ensure that beginners can get stuck in without getting overwhelmed. All that and a cafe and bar makes The Peak Stirling’s ultimate sports and leisure emporium.

I use the gym all the time and the staff there are great. As for the rest of the place, the folk looking after the swimming pool are so bored they will look for any excuse to find something wrong with what you are doing and don't even bother trying to phone in an enquiry they never answer the phone and don't return messages. Really unprofessional. Also Peak management if you are reading, what's with letting folk smoke just outside the doors, this place is supposed to be all about health.
