Inside Pickles of Broughton Street lies a cosy emporium that’s redolent of freshly brewed coffee and all things nice. There’s nothing like a warm welcome and a hot drink to ease the day’s stresses away as you unwind in the chilled deli-cum-coffee shop. On pleasant days, your brew is best enjoyed on the patio area, while less clement weather provides the perfect excuse for enjoying a leisurely brunch inside the wooden-floored dining room. Row after row of bottled beer and wine adorns the walls of the bijou eatery, tempting customers to eschew their afternoon tea for something a little stronger. Pickles’ cheese platters and light nibbles are particularly popular, tiding peckish patrons over till dinner time. Whether it’s post-work drinks with friends or a light meal before venturing into town, the deli does a roaring trade all through the day before finally closing its doors at midnight. An excellent wine list plus a good selection of craft beers, spirits and liqueurs will kickstart your evening or revive your afternoon while you catch up with friends, browse the web or simply kick back and take a moment to savour life’s simplest pleasures.

One of our favourite wine bars in Edinburgh. Great choice of wines - delicious platters and pate. The owner creates a great ambience with friendly personal service and this place has a real buzz which is obviously popular with locals and tourists alike ????
