San Carlo has outposts in five different cities, having first opened its doors in Birmingham in 1992. The restaurant’s warm and hospitable staff will set you at ease from the moment you step through the door. When it’s time to order, choose from a selection of antipasti, including Marinata Di Verdure ‘AllaGriglia’ – chargrilled aubergines, courgettes and peppers marinated in extra virgin oil, fresh mint, chilli and garlic, served with parsley and mozzarella. Main courses, meanwhile, include such favourites as Garganellisalsiccia and porcini, penne all’arrabiata and escalopes of veal cooked in mustard seeds, brandy and mushrooms. Simply delicious.

I got taken here for a birthday meal and can not fault the food or the staff. I will definitely be returning and would recommend this place to anyone
