Lost Art is an online and highstreet clothing emporium that’s been open since the dying days of the 20th century. In fact it first said hello to Liverpool in September 1999. The Slater Street skate shop has a reputation as one of the best independent clothing outlets in the country, and its popularity is particularly rampant in the skating community. The attire on sale at Lost Art isn’t exclusively designed for skaters, incidentally, though skating is the bedrock of the store. That being said, you’ll find hats, t-shirts, coats and accessories which do not necessarily conform to the skater mould – items like track tops and puffer vests. If skating is your obsession though, you’ll be right at home. Lost Art also sells boards, available in a range of colours and sporting a multitude of designs. I bought my skateboard there in March. Staff were excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. Now appears to be closed. But may just have relocated. Have messaged them and tweeted them but no response.
