BrewDog Aberdeen is a hot spot for beer-lovers, a venue where you’re more likely to order a Punk IPA than a pint of generic lager – because the latter is banned from the premises. The knowledgeable and friendly bar staff will be happy to chat about new craft beers that are coming out of BrewDog’s Ellon brewery. If you’re feeling brave, sample the much-talked-about Sink The Bismarck!, a 41% ABV beer that was once the strongest in the world. If you want to try out some imported beers, there’s always a diverse selection, with guest beers from the likes of Mikkeller and Nøgne ø. Although the bar doesn’t offer a full food menu, the deli platters of meats and cheeses that are served come highly recommended. Regular patrons may choose to drink their beer by the pint, but first-time visitors will want to pace themselves, for many BrewDog beers are 7% or more.
