Langstane Place has become the cocktail corner of Aberdeen in recent years, with Orchid one of the more recent arrivals on the scene. The bar, which was founded in 2009, is known for attracting an upmarket crowd, with patrons dressing to impress. It’s recently been refurbished, taking the already chic decor to another level and in 2006, the bar was shortlisted as a finalist in an international cocktail competition hosted by The Reykjavik Bar Summit. Orchid’s relaxed environment provides the perfect environment for revelers looking to unwind and have some fun. A lengthy list of cocktails, made from the finest ingredients, never fails to impress. While the delectable cocktails are priced accordingly, you get what you pay for, which at Orchid means a whole lot of spirits, fruit juices and liqueurs mixed to perfection. Mixology lessons are also offered, and the bar can double as a venue for wedding receptions or staff parties. What are you waiting for? Step in and sample a Manhattan or a Mint Julep, the latter cocktail served in a quintessentially American Julep Cup, and dance the night away at one of Aberdeen’s classiest night spots.
