No trip to Glasgow would be complete without a visit to the Grosvenor. Nestled in cosy cobbled Ashton Lane, just off well-heeled Byers Road, the Grosvenor combines a cafe, bar and cinema. Indeed, it’s the only picture house in the West End of the city – and it’s as far from a soulless cineplex as you can get. A range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are on sale and there’s an array of snacks available from the foyer, including the usual suspects like chocolate, popcorn and, er, candy floss. If you want to grab something to eat before (or after) the film of course, you can. Menus feature classic and contemporary dishes and kids eat for half price. Oftentimes there’s deals to snag on the Grosvenor website, such as Dinner, Wine & a Movie, so it’s worth having a peek before you mosey on down to catch the latest flick.
