Comprising an area of 500,000 square feet, New Mersey Shopping Park is one of the largest retail complexes in the country. Located in Speke, five miles southeast of Liverpool city centre, the shopping emporium is home to some of the most well-known brands on the High Street. Those on the hunt for the latest fashions or electrical goods are sure to appreciate the choice on offer. M&S, Next, River Island, JD, Boots and WH Smith are just a few of the more popular stores. If you’re in the midst of a DIY project, though, you’ll only have eyes for one outlet – B&Q. The New Mersey store is huge, so whether you’re heading for the garden centre or home improvement section, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for. There’s also a cafe in store, offering tea, coffee and freshly baked cakes. Further facilities include a selection of restaurants and cafes, including Pizza Hut, McDonald’s and Costa. Parking is made easy too, with almost 2,000 free spaces available. Early in 2015, New Mersey Shopping Park announced plans for a substantial redevelopment of the site, with the work to include a new Cineworld, six restaurants and numerous new shops. My local clothes retailer of choice! Could do with more men's clothing sections in Next, Outfit etc as there always seems to be more space allocated to women's clothing.
