The Chester is the latest debutante on Aberdeen’s
hotel scene, and one of the city’s most ambitious
ventures to date. The £5m project commenced in
the spring of 2013, culminating in the hotel’s grand
opening in early 2014. 63 classic, grand and loft
rooms are available alongside two spacious suites
that set new standards in comfort and luxury. The
19th-century listed building has been fully restored,
its original features preserved where possible. No
self-respecting hotel would be complete without a
bar and restaurant to match; The Chester’s fine
dining restaurant and lounge bar are overseen by
award-winning executive chef Kevin Dalgleish.
Fresh Scottish cuisine is the order of the day, with
traditional pairings given a Continental twist. A large
