ABERDEEN F.C.
Since their inception in 1903,
Aberdeen have maintained
their place in the top flight of
Scottish football, one of only
a handful of clubs to have
done so. This achievement
is by no means their greatest
feat – that would be their
1983 European Cup win over
Real Madrid in Gothenburg.
Visitors to the club’s Pittodrie
stadium can tour the premises
during the week and learn of
the stories and triumphs that
form over 100 years of history.
Match day is when the ground
truly comes to life however.
Attending fans have a choice
of four stands, each with its
own attributes. The Merkland
Stand is suited to families,
the Main Stand attracts an
older audience and the South
Stand offers arguably the best
view and liveliest atmosphere.
The top tier of the Richard
Donald Stand, meanwhile,
boats a spectacular view
across the city. Match day
hospitality includes a selection
of lounges and suites, with
catering including the option of
a pre-match meal plus drinks,
team sheets and programme.
There’s nothing quite like
a day at Pittodrie, with all
the excitement and drama
that characterises Scottish
Premiership football.
